Ohio 2025 Issue 1. Issue 1 would eliminate the ohio redistricting commission, made up of the governor, auditor, secretary of state and four state lawmakers โ two from each party. Issue 1 requires lawmakers to set aside $7 million to pay for the search firm, commission members, retired judges' screening panel and litigation in 2025.
This november, ohio voters will have the chance to decide on the future of how district maps are drawn by voting on issue 1, a proposed constitutional amendment that would. The first commission must be seated by may 16, 2025.
